This newly built LCD monitor is within the location of the traditional rear view mirror and it is dubbed I-RVM (Intelligent Rear View Mirror). This new tech from Nissan function by Flipping the switch underneath and an LCD screen starts showing live feed of a camera located behind the car.

No doubt that in no distant time, this Intelligent Rear View Mirror will overshadow the currently used rear view mirror because the I-RVM gives a broader and clearer view more than the initial.

The company Nissan, says that the 2018 Nissan Armada will be the first of their products to feature the technology.
According to the vice president, Michael Bunce, of Product Planning, Nissan North America, Inc,
Not since a magic mirror of children’s fables has a mirror seemed to have such special powers as the new I-RVM. It provides a clear, expanded field of view under a wide range of conditions – giving the driver the best possible view of the rear flanks no matter how tall the passengers in the back seat or how many balloons you have to take to that party.
The new Nissan’s Intelligent Rear View Mirror makes use of uniquely shaped LCD monitor, narrow-angle camera with a high-performance and aspect ratio of approximately 4:1. The aspect ratio of the new I-RVM is against that of the traditional rear view mirror that has aspect ratio of 4:3 or 16:9.
