Zimbabwean parliamentarians set to receive tablets in 2017.

Zimbabwe has just joined other countries like Ghana, Jamaica, india in making sure their parliamentarians are well prepared for parliamentary sessions.

With the partnership of world Bank, the country's parliamentarians will be receiving a tablet each during the first quarter of 2017. This development was made known to the public during the official launch of the Parliament of Zimbabwe’s enhanced website and the speaker of Parliament, Jacob Mudenda said that the tablets are expected to assist the legislators in preparing for parliamentary sessions.

The Capabilities of the new website will be to provide electronic access to parliamentary sessions through features like digital versions of the Hansard (the periodical that records all parliamentary proceedings), live blogs and recordings uploaded on Parliament’s SoundCloud account.
