Honor 8 can now be updated to Android 7.0 Nougat



The Chinese multinational networking and telecommunications equipment and services company Huawei has launched the Android 7.0 Nougat update on its honor 8 smartphone. The update worths 2.2GB of data and it is being released in batches According to countries. The Android 7.0 Nougat update comes with improved better app functionalities, system-related optimization, and stability improvements.
In addition to the updates, the Honor 8 will have the latest EMUI 5.0 skin layer, new color scheme and a redesigned menu bar. The new UI will have QR scanning functionality for active sharing, a new recent apps screen, split-view multitasking and an app drawer, among numerous other features.

The Honor 8 smartphone features a 5.2-inch full HD 2.5D curved display of 1080x1920 pixel resolution. The screen comes with eye-care technology that reduces the background light to reduce strain on user's eyes. The cell phone is powered by an octa-core Kirin 950 processor paired with 4GB of RAM. It offers 32GB of onboard storage, expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card. Huawei Honor 8 runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system topped with EMUI. The hybrid dual-sim device boasts 12MP rear dual cameras with dual-tone LED flash and an 8MP front-shooter for selfies. Connectivity options of the device include 4G, LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC and USB Type-C. The handset is backed by a 3,000mAh battery with fast-charging support.
