This Self controlled flying taxi will start transporting passengers in July

A surprise announcement was made on Monday at the World Government Summit in Dubai, United Arab Emirates by the head of Dubai's Roads & Transportation Agency, Mattar al-Tayer. He presented a model of EHang 184, which is the next generation of Dubai Drone Taxi and said that Dubai hopes to have a passenger-carrying drone buzzing through the skyline of this futuristic city-state in July.

The egg-shaped drone now named 184 was shown at the CES 2016 and it seems that it is now finally approved to be used for commercial transportation.

The drone can fly without human direction and carry a single passenger and their bag. It can take one person on a journey up to 23 minutes long.
You may be wandering why the name "184" was given to the Autonomous flying taxi, the name was given to it because it can carry one(1) passenger at a time and it has eight(8) propellors, and four(4) arms. The drone is a hand work of a Chinese firm EHang.

The drone is about 4.9 feet tall and weighs around 440 pounds. It is Battery powered and can fly for around 30 minutes at an average cruising speed of 62 mph. The drone can be operated by climbing inside, tap your destination on a digital map, then sit back and enjoy the view. There's no joystick to handle, no levers to touch or hold, and no buttons to press.
