Apple to start making iPhones in India

In a bid to solve the problem of having few smartphone users in India, an American giant tech company, Apple, is to start producing its iPhones in the country.
The statement was made by the Karnataka’s IT minister who said that Apple had agreed to assemble its hugely popular phones in the southern state, whose capital Bangalore is India’s technology hub.

These are the Minister's words ”We have an understanding with Apple and we expect them to start manufacturing in Karnataka by the end of April."

Making their products from the country will cut costs and also help them to keep up with their rival, Samsung as Apple can only gather 2% of the india's market while Samsung is 23% according to research. Apple currently sells through third-party retailers in India, which accounts for only around 1% of global iPhone sales.
