What exactly and why do Microsoft collect such data?

You may be questioning yourself why this company is monitoring you and also collecting your data. The answer to those questions is that Microsoft collect this data in order to provide you with more relevant results and content that is of interest to you.

As of the exact data they collect, it includes Location data (if it is enabled), Edge browsing history, Cortana voice commands, Bing search history and so on.

How to View all your Windows 10 Activity History in your Microsoft cloud account

The second way of viewing and deleting your Windows 10 Activity History in your Microsoft cloud account is - Go to Settings>>Privacy>>Activity History and click Manage my activity info.

Then a browser window will open up, and may be asking you to log into your account if you are not already logged in. You can also skip the above procedures by going to account.microsoft.com/privacy/activity-history.

On that page, you will see that your data has already been divided into the following categories: Browsing History, Search History, Location Activity, Voice Activity, Cortana’s Notebook, and Health Activity. To view and clear data in each section, click the clear data button that corresponds with each section, and click the button confirming that you want to delete it.

You can also click on the Activity History tab on that same page to view the full list of all the data types: voice, search, browsing history, and location information. You can as well filter down to each category by clicking on it.
